MOUNT DORA, Florida, (February 2010) – Last month the Mount Dora Area Chamber of Commerce held its 2009 Business of the Year Awards, celebrating small, medium and large businesses exemplifying growth, innovation, outstanding customer service and a commitment to the prosperity of the community.

The First National Bank of Mount Dora won the Chamber’s “Large Business of the Year” award, designated to Chamber-member companies with more than 20 employees. Said Mount Dora City Manager, Michael Quinn, “I personally know [First National] bank’s commitment to this community and the tremendous support [it gives] to many organizations and causes that make Mount Dora someplace special.”

Accepting the award on behalf of the First National Bank staff was President Jack Pease, who said, “I and the other members of FNB are deeply honored by the Chamber’s recognition and support. Considering the many fine businesses in Mount Dora, this is tremendous praise indeed. This award lets us know that our dedication to clients and the community is not only acknowledged, but valued.”

The awards ceremony was presented as a main feature of the Chamber’s January Luncheon, an esteemed and much-anticipated annual event thrown in support of the Mount Dora business community.
